The Last Homeless Centre Left Open in SW5
For the last three years, drop-in centre Refettorio Felix at St Cuthbert's has been on the frontline providing food and essential services for the homeless and vulnerable of Earl's Court. Throughout the growing Corona virus crisis we have kept our doors open providing food and crucial services for those still living on the streets. It's impossible to self-isolate or look after yourself properly if you have nowhere to call home. Government guidelines no longer allow us to let guests into the centre, so we're providing hot lunchboxes to take away and are feeding upwards of 70 people a day. We're now the only service of our kind left open in the area and to keep going we're totally reliant on donations and support from the likes of The Felix Project, local food suppliers, our brilliant chefs & volunteers and you!
As well as vital financial support, we desperately need:
* disposable food containers of any size
*disinfectant spray
*hand sanitizer or gel
*disposable gloves
It's a difficult time for all of us but it's so much easier to face lockdown in the warmth and safety of your own home, with your loved ones and a full fridge. Imagine, for a moment, facing this invisible killer wrapped in a sleeping bag on a pavement, alone. We will continue to stay open whilst there is a need and your donation, however small, helps us continue to provide this crucial service. We thank you....
