Story

I aim to embark on this run with the purpose of raising awareness and inspiring the younger generation. It's essential to demonstrate to them that with determination, anything is achievable. Don't allow others' doubts to deter you, as those doubts often stem from their own insecurities. To all my peers, age should never be a limiting factor. Whether you're in your 30s or late 20s, you're still youthful enough to pursue your aspirations. Embrace the learning process, acknowledge your mistakes, and relentlessly pursue your dreams. Where there's a will, there's undoubtedly a way! We are inherently resilient beings, destined to persevere. To the youth, your potential knows no bounds; you possess the remarkable ability to excel in any endeavor you undertake, be it sports or academics.

If you're experiencing any form of pain and are willing to share, I'm here to run on behalf of your struggles and bear them alongside me so that the creator may relieve them. Additionally, I'm driven to contribute to our community through this endeavor. If you're interested in donating, please click one of the links below or follow me on my run!

About the charity

IRSSS provides essential services to Residential School Survivors, their families, and those dealing with Intergenerational traumas. These impacts affect every family and every community across B.C. and Canada. This fact is most evident in the Corrections Canada Services-the numbers of First Nations people incarcerated, Child and Family Services child apprehensions, the high number of people on social assistance, unemployment and underemployed, lower levels of education, the lowest number within an ethnic minority of ā€œdeterminants of healthā€, the list of impacts is extremely high while the services available to effectively assist impacts of Residential Schools remain quite low.
