Did you know there are still over one billion people around the world who don't have the Bible in their heart language?

Luckily, you can help bring them Bibles by joining the 'Read for Bibles' fundraiser.

It's really easy to get involved! Just read from the Bible every day in July and invite your own supporters to help you raise funds for the Bible translation projects that Bible Society NZ supports around the world.

For every $15 you raise, you will be helping to provide a Bible to someone in their heart language for the first time (or you can give directly to this cause by clicking 'Give Now')!

All the funds you raise will go towards supporting the Bible translation projects that are on the 'United Bible Societies Bible Bible Translation Roadmap', which aims to bring 600 million people around the world the Bible in their own heart language (read more below).

Remember to read from your Bible every day throughout July - it can be as little as a verse a day or if you're really inspired you could try to make your way through the entire book!

What you are fundraising for - The United Bible Societies Bible Translation Roadmap

Around the world, there are over one billion people without the opportunity to engage with the Bible because it's not available in their language.

To address this, in 2017, the United Bible Societies (of which we are a member), developed a 20-year Bible translation roadmap with the goal of translating the Word of God into 1,200 languages by 2038. This will help bring the Word of God to 600 million people in their heart language! This Bible Translation Roadmap, which is estimated to cost US$500 million to complete, is United Bible Societies' powerful response to Jesus' Great Commission.
