Story
In September CEO Steve Shatwell and Transitions Co-ordinator Beverley Rayner will tackle a 10km open water swim in the Atlantic!
As they swim around Tresco they will have to face the Atlantic currents, potentially huge swells and waves – not to mention the 15degree water temperature.
At 67 this will be a huge challenge for Steve and will push him to the limit Steve’s words), the swim will take over 5 hours which means it will require the similar amount of output as completing a marathon.
Beverley who turns 60 in Oct has amassed over 100,000 metres of training in preparation for this epic challenge and both have been up at the crack of dawn, or swimming late into the evenings around their work commitments to ensure they are in the best condition possible to complete the gruelling swim.

The challenge is self-funded with Steve and Beverley covering 100% of the costs with the hope to raise awareness and much needed funds to help support the continued delivery of the fantastic services offered by Reach - https://reachuk.org/
Please support them on this epic challenge.
