Story
Every penny that is donated to Reach Charity goes to ensuring that each child with an upper limb difference is able to meet with others, develop lifelong friendships, develop a positive sense of self-worth and to live life without limits.
We have 19 branch networks all run by volunteers throughout the UK and Ireland to provide support and opportunities for children and parents to meet. We strive to have local branch meet ups and events for families and children 3 times a year.
Reach subsidises entry fees for Reach child (up to the age of 25), immediate family and siblings (up to the age of 18). Refreshments are covered (though some supermarkets kindly donate items) the cost of hiring a room which is important and enables families to be together and entry fees to activity centres. It is important that experiences and events are varied. In the past events have included outings to climbing walls, wildlife park and safari parks, activity centres, Christmas pantomimes at the theatre and lots of Christmas parties, this are to name but a few.
