Story

Welcome to RBLI Sleep Out Goes Digital! Thank you so much to all the participants who are still taking part in this event, especially when there is so much going on around us. As youll be aware, the coronavirus could impact so many of the people we support and we want to ensure that we can continue our vital care to them for years to come.

By sleeping out, in isolation in their back gardens, participants are helping to make a difference to those who are currently sleeping out without the options that we have to keep ourselves safe. We want to provide homeless veterans with an option, the option is choose RBLI to help you, there will be no judgement, just care.

We will be sharing stories across RBLI's social platforms as well as participants to help spread the word about the incredible challenge participants are undertaking and to keep everyone in contact with each other. Prior to the event we will send each participant a survival bag in the post packed with equipment to aid them with their sleep out.

In reality, this is far more realistic in terms of what a homeless veteran has to endure and it is such a powerful way to raise awareness about homelessness and for this very reason we are really excited about doing the event in this way.
