The stats surrounding food poverty in the Derby area make for scary reading. Derby are in the top 5% of deprived communities, with just over 1 in 3 children living in poverty. Additionally, there are currently almost 700 children living in temporary accomodation across the city.

Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance are an incredible cause that RamsTalk have chosen to support this season. Their work in helping those in need and providing food for those that need it most, most importantly the children of the city and their families, is inspiring.

The challenge for the RamsTalk team is to run the distance of every Derby County away game this season. This spans just over 3824km!

The rules are simple, between the 6 of us, we have to either run or go on a dedicated walk to make up a total of 3824km across the season. A run is faster but more tiring, whereas a dedicated walk can't be for anything other than for the challenge (e.g. can't use a walk to work!), which takes up more precious time.

Plus, if one of the six of us picks up any sort of injury, then the other 5 will have to pick up the slack! All of us play our own sports, so adding this distance on top of our current workloads will be quite the challenge!
