Every December for the past ten years, dozens of our local boat owners volunteer to decorate their boats with festive lights, transforming Ramsgate's Royal Harbour into a magical Christmas spectacle, now established as Ramsgate Illuminations. This incredible display attracts thousands of visitors, and in appreciation, Ramsgate’s businesses make donations for each illuminated boat to the charity that’s close to all our hearts—Ramsgate RNLI.

As one of the oldest lifeboat stations in the UK, Ramsgate RNLI relies heavily on donations—94% of their funding comes from generous supporters like you. Our volunteer crew risk their lives nearly every day to save others, while behind the scenes, fundraisers work tirelessly to keep the station running.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the boat lights, and we aim to raise £1,000 to show our appreciation for the boat owners who make the Harbour so special. We invite all who visit to donate what they can, spreading Christmas cheer to both our volunteer boat owners and the dedicated RNLI crew!

All funds raised from this page will be restricted to the running costs at Ramsgate Lifeboat Station.
