Story
For the people living at Moria 2.0 refugee camp this Ramadan will mark Ramadan living in a state of instability and uncertainty.
From living in areas that had streets that were once lined with colorful lanterns and twinkling lights to now living in a refugee camp surrounded by waste, darkness, and constant concern of safety. The echoes of laughter and happy conversations that once poured into the streets through open doors and balconies as loved ones gathered for their evening meal, have fallen silent.
Today, millions of refugees have fled their homes in search of safety. Some are witnessing their first Ramadan as refugees. Others have spent years huddled together in small tents. For many, their prime focus is finding food to feed their family at the end of each day during Ramadan.
This Ramadan, Team Humanity is aiming to feed as many families as possible to ensure everyone has something to break their fast with at the end of a long fasting day. We're distributing food boxes for the duration of the month to families in need. It just takes $70 to feed a family of four for the entire month.
We're also accepting Sadqa and Zakat payments throughout the month.
