Raise the Woof! is a fundraising event for Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County where we will be building dog houses! Friends, families, local businesses, and community organizations will come together to build their best version of a dog house for mans best friend. After the build on September 26th, all the completed dog houses will be on display at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore for the 3 weeks following the event. The public will be encouraged to vote for their favorites and even can bid to own their favorite house!

***This year's Raise the Woof! event will be a bit different than last year's, as we all deal with the Covid-19 outbreak. In order to keep everyone as safe as possible, all dog house building will be done at each team's home or place of work and the event will be live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube! Prizes will still be awarded to the top teams in 8 different categories, and all the completed houses will then be moved to our ReStore for the public to admire (and bid on!).

To participate in this year's Raise the Woof! event, you will need to register your team by September 15th and pay the $100 entry fee one of two ways:

1) Create a team fundraising page here on this Just Giving site. You can then pay the entry fee electronically or share your Team Page with family and friends who will then in turn donate towards your goal. Once you create a Team Page, we will be in touch with you with more details about the dog house build process.

2) Email Lauren, the Director of Development, at lgramly@cuhabitat.org. She will then be in touch with a team registration form and more information about the dog house build process.

Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County's mission is a world where everyone has a safe, decent, and affordable place to call home. Over 50% of renters in Champaign County are overburdened by their housing costs, and there is limited access to affordable housing. Every dollar donated will go towards making affordable housing a reality for qualifying home buyers and each Habitat home buyer in turn gives back to the community that gave so generously to them.
