APPEAL: Help Rain get better so he can travel to the UK to find a forever home

Rain has been on a rollercoaster of a journey with IAPWA. Sadly he now has viral papilloma meaning we must boost his immune system before he can come to the UK to find a forever home. Please donate to help this sweet boy get his happily ever after.

IAPWA is a UK-registered animal welfare charity dedicated to creating a better future for animals worldwide. With your support we can continue to provide a lifeline to every animal who needs our support.

Story

Rain has been on a rollercoaster of a journey with IAPWA. He was rescued from the streets of Borneo in a starving and critical condition a few months back. Since then, he's battled through every obstacle thrown at him, and now, just as he is ready to come to the UK to find a forever home, he is once again in desperate need of your support.

Rain, who is still a pup at just one year old, was rescued back in February in a truly awful state (photos below). He'd been desperately searching for scraps of food to survive. It has taken some time, but thanks to the generosity of IAPWA's supporters and the dedication of our Borneo team, Rain was able to get the help he needed, put on a good amount of weight, and was starting to enjoy life again as a happy, healthy dog. After all he had been through, we had planned to fly him to the UK to find wonderful forever home with a loving family.

Sadly, these plans have been halted as we have recently discovered that little Rain has viral papilloma - a type of skin tumour that is found on the lips, mouths and muzzles of dogs. These tumours, although not dangerous, develop due to a weak immune system, meaning Rain is very much still feeling the after affects of his earlier life on the streets. We will be surgically removing his tumours as well as attempting to boost his immune system again with a special diet before he is healthy enough to think about travelling to his forever home.

We know it is a lot to ask, but if you are able to support Rain's final steps to recovery, both our team and Rain would be so incredibly grateful. Rain is so close to the finish line and a happily ever after - let's not give up on him now. Thank you for caring - x

Please note: Should we be lucky enough to reach our target, any funds raised above this will be used where they are needed most, to help the animals in our care.
