Story

Wokingham has the highest number of adults with learning disabilities in the south, and so although we receive some funding from the local council unfortunately, we need to fundraise to provide the full range of sessions, opportunities and support we feel our members deserve.

In the words of one of our members, I am grateful to CLASP "cause they are friendly and helpful people. I would be lost without them."

Please support CLASP by purchasing tickets for our Advent Raffle.

The draw will take place daily on Facebook, from Sunday 1st December until Tuesday 24th December 2024.

Please make sure you tick the box during the donation process that says you're happy to share your contact details with us so we can contact you if you are a lucky winner. Please do not add gift aid as this is not allowed when purchasing raffle tickets. Prizes not collected by 31.01.25 will automatically be donated to the next CLASP raffle.

One ticket costs £5.00 and will enter your name once into the daily draw

Three tickets cost £12 and will enter your name three times into the daily draw.

We are a self-advocacy group for people with learning disabilities in the Wokingham borough. Self-advocacy is when you speak up for yourself about the things that are important to you. CLASP help people with learning disabilities to do this. We support each other to speak up for our rights and live more independently. CLASP stands for Caring, Listening And Supporting Partnership. How is CLASP helping people to speak up for themselves? As a user-led organisation – we are run by our members. We employ people with learning disabilities and offer voluntary opportunities. We support our members to have their say about how local services are developed. We have a training group called Listen To Us – who deliver learning disability awareness training. We run a campaigning group called Take Notice. We work in partnership with other organisations to run projects. We provide one to one support, information, advice and signposting.
