Story
The world abandoned Israeli women.
We never will.
On 7th October, Israeli women were murdered, sexually attacked, abducted from their homes and tortured by Hamas terrorists. Since 8th October, Prof. Ruth Halperin-Kaddari, together with other experts, and the Rackman Centre - Israel's leading organization protecting women's rights in family law - have been seeking justice for these victims as well as for the tens of thousands of Israeli women who face new threats to their rights and security in their homes as a result of the war and domestic threats pre-dating 7th October.
With the international community of women’s rights organizations fundamentally abandoning Israeli women, it is up to us to ensure that – whatever the “day after” looks like – justice for the victims and equal rights for women in family law will be protected.
• If you believe that it has never been more important – now, in the wake of the sexual atrocities committed by Hamas and in the face of an expected increase in domestic violence following war – that Israeli women be protected…
• If you feel that, when it comes to marriage and divorce, women deserve equal rights under Jewish law…
• If you want to see women involved in leadership positions in Jewish religious life in Israel...
• If you care about the rights of women in Israel…
…then join the Rackman Center in leading the struggle for gender justice!

ABOUT THE RACKMAN CENTRE
In 2001, The Rackman Centre was founded in Bar-Ilan University’s Faculty of Law to promote women’s rights within Judaism and in Israel. Its rare combination of academic expertise and cause lawyering means The Rackman Centre serves as a junction between research and activism. Our lawyers translate academic research, knowledge of Jewish law, and legal training into action, bringing about legal and social change to benefit women, children, families, and Israeli society at large. This knowledge has also turned the Centre into a dominant voice in the Knesset and policy forums for matters on women’s rights in family law. For over 20 years, we have had immeasurable impact through legal precedents, laws passed, and the women we've represented.
