Story

Join Us for the Ride of a Lifetime: Richmond to Paris 2024 – Pedalling with Purpose!

This year marks an extraordinary journey - the Ride from Richmond to Paris 2024. We're setting off on a remarkable adventure with a record 50 riders, including an inspiring 20% participation from phenomenal women cyclists.

The Adventure Begins:

Our journey begins at St Elizabeth's School on Friday, May 17th. Choose your start: a 9 am departure blessed by the community or a spirited 3 pm launch, both accompanied by the heart-warming cheers of our young supporters. Brace yourself for an epic 24 or 36 hours of cycling (with necessary breaks for rest and refreshments) through breathtaking landscapes. From the historic streets of Richmond to the shores of Newhaven, across the majestic English Channel to Dieppe, and finally, a grand entrance into Paris, culminating with a momentous photo at the Eiffel Tower. Our return on Sunday via Eurostar will be celebrated with a joyous reception at the School May Fair.

Why We Ride:

Every pedal push brings us closer to enhancing the educational experience at St Elizabeth's Catholic Primary School, Richmond. Your support will provide essential resources to nurture the minds of our pupils. This year, in particular, the funds raised will be used in projects that engage children in nature and wildlife. The latter to give children greater experience of growing their own produce which they can then use in the school's new Food and Technology room to prepare healthy meals from scratch. Additionally, the school wants to create an eco-garden area with plants and trees to bring wildlife into the school and a natural space for outdoor learning. These initiatives will not only enhance the school’s curriculum but they will have far-reaching impact on children’s well-being and connection with nature.

Be Part of Our Community:

This journey transcends cycling; it's about fostering a community united by a shared goal. Every contribution, no matter the size, propels us forward. Donating is easy, secure, and impactful. Help us make a difference by sharing our story and contributing to our cause.

Thank You for Your Support:

Your participation and donations are not just contributions; they're investments in the future of our pupils. Join us on this incredible journey; together, we can make a lasting impact.

Ride with us, support us, and let's make this journey a beacon of hope and achievement. Thank you for being a pivotal part of our mission.
