The story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) willing to sacrifice his only son Ismaeel (AS) is well known to us all in the Islamic tradition. This act of sacrifice was not about simply offering flesh and blood, but more so about spiritual sacrifice and offering to Allah something that would take tremendous courage and resilience.
