Story
We know that your time during lock-down will be challenging, which is why we're encouraging you to join our Quest to Bidibidi! By joining, you will be doing something incredible and improving your health and well-being while helping others. You have the power to change your life, take back some control and improve the way you feel, all while making a huge difference to the lives of those around you!
There has never been a better time to reconnect with yourself, with friends, family and co-workers and think about people in other places around the world and what they are experiencing at this unprecedented time. Bidibidi in Uganda is the world's second largest refugee settlement and is home to hundreds of thousands of refugees. This is a place where 57% of pre-school refugee children in dont have access to early years learning opportunities and the ability to heal, learn and grow from the trauma they may have faced in their short lives. What's more, because of the current climate it's likely that these children will be impacted even more.
At Play Action International we are determined that every child can harness the power of play and enjoy a brighter future. By taking part in our virtual challenge, covering 8,800km from the UK to Bidibidi, you will play a crucial role in supporting children so to have the futures they deserve.
Have fun with your friends, family, co-workers and get moving over the coming months to help us unlock the power of play for children in Uganda!
