QE Charitable Funds will be holding our first ever "Light Up A Life" Service on Thursday 30th November 2023 at 6pm at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead.

The "Light Up A Life" campaign is a chance for staff, patients, families, friends and our community to come together to remember and celebrate the lives of lost loved ones.

Our aim is to bring this tradition into the heart of the Gateshead community by holding the service at our very own Christmas tree outside the Emergency Care Centre entrance at the QE Hospital which is open to all of our community.

There is a chance for you to purchase personalised memory star's which will be placed on the tree for the lights turn on, the names from the memory stars will be read out during the service and will be included in our charity online remembrance tribute. Our very own Trust choir will also be singing Christmas carols throughout.

Personalised star's can be purchased via this page at a cost of:

1x star = £5.00 or 3x stars = £10.00

(remember to add Gift Aid at no extra cost to yourself which will allow us to add an additional 25% to your donation)

(Star's will remain on the tree until early January 2024 and will then be returned to the person who purchased the star).

All in attendance will be invited into the atrium within the Emergency Care Centre for kindly donated cake's from Cake Box, Low Fell, and a chance to see the opening of the Gateshead Camera Club (working in partnership with QE Charitable Funds) photo exhibition.
