Story
Daybreak works alongside families and community members enabling problem-solving for life’s challenges. To help us to do more of this, we invite you to join us in a weekly problem-solving puzzle in return for a voluntary donation, of any size. Together, we can tackle life’s puzzles.
Every Tuesday Daybreak will share a new free puzzle on their social media. Everyone is able to take part. In return, Daybreak will ask for a voluntary donation via the Puzzling with Daybreak JustGiving campaign page.
Puzzles will be hosted on our website and shared across social media every Tuesday. The answers will be revealed on Wednesday, available on the website: www.daybreakfgc.org.uk/puzzling
There is no obligation to donate, or donate weekly.
Registered in 1999, Daybreak is a charity whose foundations are in growing the practice of Family Group Conferences in the UK. From this, we have seen the positive impact that occurs when families and communities are empowered to take action when faced with challenging situations.
Now, utilising a range of solution-focused approaches, we bring people together to enable them to problem-solve, make decisions and choose what actions to take to move forward, be safe, and thrive.
People and communities often feel disempowered - especially those whose lives are influenced by the systems around them. However, we know that people can take action and choose what action to take when given the right opportunity.
This is why we believe in a world where ‘families’ and communities work together to make decisions and solve problems affecting their lives.
Therefore, we work alongside partnering organisations and within the community to create opportunities for people to communicate, work together and create plans that when implemented, will enable them to move forward, be safe and thrive.
Throughout our programs, our work relies on the principles of voluntary participation, transparency and openness for all, advocacy for those who need it, and for our work to be facilitative, not prescriptive.
