The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileEpilepsy is a complex condition that not only effects the person living with epilepsy, but also impacts on their familys lives too.
Currently, in 70% of cases, the cause of epilepsy is unknown and 30% of children dont respond to current treatment options. A substantial number of patients symptoms are not limited to just seizures. There is a vital need for research into this common neurology condition.
The Muir Maxwell Epilepsy Centre investigates the causes and consequences of epilepsy. Our mission is to develop the very best treatments for those children and families affected by the condition by fostering collaborations between world-class scientists and clinical researchers at the University of Edinburgh and beyond.

DRESS: Instead of a dress down day at work, organise a dress purple day for you and your colleagues. You can wear purple clothes, purple wigs and purple accessories. Post your photos on social media and ask your friends, family and colleagues to donate to the Muir Maxwell Epilepsy Centre.
BAKE: Host a purple themed bake sale - a deliciously fun way to raise money whilst socialising with friends and family.
SERVE: Last year saw almost thirty cafes and restaurants serving a variety of purple dishes ranging from blueberry cheesecake to red cabbage gazpacho. Turn your daily special menu purple on 26th March and add a small donation to these purple-themed dishes.
