Shree Bhuwaneshwari School, Panchkal
We continue to financially support the building of additional classrooms and a toilet block at Shree Bhuwaneshwari, a government school in Panchkal, Kathmandu Valley, where we have worked since 2019. Good progress is being made with the construction which had been halted due to COVID 19 and restrictions. We have completed the first building with two classrooms and the toilet block. We have now commenced work on the second building.
I have learnt a lot about what is important to me and how important it is to serve others. In the future I would like to work as an NGO.
Project Nepal Legacy Programme
We are honoured to support students from rural Panchkal in their university studies in Nepal. Our programme began in 2017 with three scholars, and we are now proud to have sponsored 28 scholars, three of whom have now completed their Bachelor's degrees. The students programmes of study include Human Rights Law; Teaching; Information Technology; Accounting; Medicine and Hospitality. One of our graduates is pursuing her MBA and we are happy to be able to provide a scholarship for her future studies. We keep in regular contact with the scholars, receiving updates on their progress and well-being.
I feel that the experience of Project Nepal has made me a better communicator as well as a more well-rounded and open-minded person. I had to improve these skills in Nepal as it was a new environment for me.
Helping to develop the school in Nepal felt infinitely rewarding and it was certain that we were making a profound impact for the future for the students in Panchkal.
