Phase is expanding its work with primary aged children by extending our team so that we can deliver our current programmes to all schools in Hitchin as well as give capacity to develop new projects needed.
The Phase programmes really help me, its given me loads of things i can do when I feel worried. It really helps! I feel more confident.
When I was in Year 5 I really struggled with school, I was anxious everyday and really struggled with change and when things didn't go as I wanted them to, I wanted to control everything, but couldn't.
Phase came in and talked to us about coping with change and disappointment, no-one had ever really talked about these things, it really made me think. Every time they came in they talked more about tough stuff but gave us all ways to cope. I started trying these things and it really helped! My teacher arranged for me to meet with one of the Phase team. This was so good! They listened, understood, never judged me but encouraged me.
When I started secondary school I felt totally ready, even though I was scared, I had all the strategies needed to do it. When I got to my new school, there were Phase! It made me so happy!
Phase have helped me and so many of my friends. They have taught me loads, encouraged me and are always there.
