Story
The Primrose Unit is a very special unit, they support Bedford Patients through their cancer journey. From the initial diagnosis, to treatment, to wellbeing, to financial support, emotional support, prosthetics, and so much more. The dedicated team regularly train on latest treatments and support processes to ensure the patient gains everything they need to the highest quality.
The unit opened its new Wellbeing Centre December 2024 which included the garden area which has been renovated to increase space and be calming during the dry days for patients to be able to go outside.
Alongside this the unit have also replaced their cold cap therapy to support patients with reducing hair loos due to treatment.
They have purchased two new treatment chairs to reduce patient waiting times.
They have renovated a room to include chilled storage for specific treatment drugs to speed up treatment and reduce waiting times.
All this is for our patient care, as we put people first in all that we do.
these renovations would not have happened without the support of our wonderful donors and community.
To continue to improve spaces and support to patients we still need your support, every donation makes a difference to a cancer patient.
