Are you ready to make a splash?
It's time to mark World Drowning Prevention Day with SwimTayka!
We all know that swimming is an amazing way to stay active, but water can present a danger, especially for those who don't know how to swim or aren't aware of the risks. That's why SwimTayka is here to provide free swimming lessons and water safety education to children around the world.
On World Drowning Prevention Day, July 25 - let's all make a big splash by recognising the importance of water safety and drowning prevention. Drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional injury-related deaths worldwide. That's why SwimTayka is dedicated to empowering children with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe in and around water.
Through SwimTayka's programmes, children are taught how to swim and are educated in water safety, reducing the risk of drowning while promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. So let's make a splash by supporting organisations like SwimTayka that are making a difference in communities around the world.
Remember, whether you're swimming in the ocean, a pool, lake, river, canal or stream, water safety is paramount. So let's dive into World Drowning Prevention Day with SwimTayka and help the fight to prevent drowning!
It is our mission to give disadvantaged communities around the world access to swimming teachers who can not only provide the life skills of swimming, but create a legacy for today’s children, who will grow up to teach the next generation.
Our vision is that no child be denied access to swimming lessons because of their economic status.
We envisage a world where children grow up with respect for their environment and understand how their rivers, lakes and oceans are sources of wholesome food, provide their livelihoods and play an important part in maintaining a healthy life free from waterborne illnesses.
