IMPORTANT: if you leave your name as anonymous next to your Justgiving donation, we won't be able to enter you into the draw and your ticket purchase will act as charitable donation.
Here's a little background on us.....
Our little boy Tommy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in April 2021. Before his diagnosis, he had always been a fit, healthy & strong little boy, the youngest of three boys but almost certainly the loudest! We started to notice small changes that we rationalised as completely innocent symptoms, until the pieces started to fit together and our worst nightmare came true.
Tommy is now 6 and two years into his three year treatment plan, he is doing well! He tackles everything (almost!) with a smile. We have settled into a routine with his chemo treatment and come to terms (as much as you can) with the situation we find ourselves in. As long as Tommy continues to do well, so will we, he keeps us positive and smiling. And like any 6 year old, her certainly keeps us busy.
We decided to set up the charity to help other families locally who find themselves in the devastating situation of a child's cancer diagnosis. We also felt compelled to support research into the prevention of childhood ALL. The Institute of Cancer Research are doing amazing work and making steps forward in this direction. We hope one day a preventative medicine will be found and much heartache will be saved
