The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileDerbyshire Cricket Foundation's Lauren Tuffrey and Charlotte Flindall have been training hard in attempt to complete, this year's, Derby County Community Trust's Derby 10k. They are raising money to help fund the delivery of our 'Power of Cricket' community project at Derwent Primary and Village Academy school.
We want to provide free access to after-school/ holiday clubs for children aged between 5-11. At the heart of the project is the community that we live and work and that's why we want to help tackle some of the challenges that they currently face. Our after-school clubs look to equip and develop children's essential life skills by teaching children how to prepare 'easy to cook' meals, making positive healthy eating choices and understanding the benefits of physically active.
The project will also look to help foster community relationships and help prevent antisocial behaviour by utilising community spaces such as Caxton Park and the Racecourse playing fields.
