Take Action. Lace up!
Positive East is proud to present the World AIDS Day RED RUN! The World AIDS Day RED RUN is a charity fun run and walk that unites the HIV sector to raise awareness and vital funds for HIV support and prevention projects across the country.
Positive East is an East London based charity that supports people from the point of HIV diagnosis to longer-term care. Guided by our mission - to improve the quality of life of individuals and communities affected by HIV – we have developed a holistic range of health and well-being programmes from counselling and workshops to HIV testing and prevention. All activities aim to increase well-being, self-esteem, community integration, confidence, medical adherence and optimism, making a direct and tangible impact in the lives of people living with HIV.
Since 2009, Positive East has organised the RED RUN to raise funds for people living with HIV. What began with just 50 people has become one of the UK's largest annual HIV events, raising over £1.1 million for crucial support and prevention programs. We've united the community, broken down stigma, and empowered thousands living with HIV.
But the fight isn't over. 106,000 people in the UK (50,000 in London) still live with HIV. Stigma persists, and too many remain undiagnosed or diagnosed late. Funding cuts threaten essential services.
This is why we need you!
