Story

We are cycling N2, Portugal’s answer to Route 66 all in support of The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.

This extraordinarily scenic ride take us through terraced vineyards and fields of olive and cork trees, along river-banks and over winding hills with sweeping valley views.

This is a tough challenge, cycling 700km from historic Chaves in the north to Faro in the sunny south but a fabulous way to see the country, and one of the most rewarding things we will ever do!

Every single penny raised will go straight to The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice who provide care and support to patients with a life-limiting illness and their families. The hospice rely heavily on voluntary donations to be able to provide their amazing services for patients and families. Any contribution that you can give is most appreciated.

This year is very special for the hospice as they celebrate 40 years of care. In ode to this special anniversary, we’re running a competition to win a meal for two with wine at Glasgow’s prestigious Glaschu Restaurant, with a chauffeur driven car to and from the restaurant from the Glasgow area, with all proceeds going towards Cycle Portugal 40 for 40 (£40 for 40 years).

This will be a lucky squares contest with 100 squares available at £40 per square. All you have to do to enter is make a donation of £40 on our JustGiving page (£40 will get you one lucky square, £80 will get you 2 and so on). Once you have done that, email fundraising@ppwh.org.uk and they will then allocate you a random number to be entered into the draw. The draw will be made once we fill up our 100 lucky squares, so hurry, you don't want to miss out.

The voucher will be valid for up to 6 months after the draw is made.

Good luck everyone!

Thanks

Heather, Gillian, Liz and Hazel 🚴‍♂️💙
