Story
What is Polly's Challange
Polly’s Fund was set up in memory of Polly Birch, who had a passion for sailing. Her family are proud to continue the challenge in her memory.
Polly’s Challenge offers Isle of Wight children a special opportunity to join us at UKSA for a fully funded five-day sailing course or multi-activity watersports adventure.
The courses run during the school holidays enabling them to have fun, be adventurous and learn new skills through participation in outdoor activities.
As part of the challenge, we ask each young person to fundraise a minimum of £20 that goes straight back into Polly’s Fund, to enable the programme to support more children in the future. We encourage the children to do this
through sponsorship like cleaning cars, tidying their room, or helping a neighbour in need but they can be as creative as they like!
How to get involved
In 2023 we are getting all hands on deck to help raise money for Polly's Fund. The demand for funding and support from families is higher than ever before.
To ensure that we can keep the programme going in the future we need your help, enabling us to support more deserving young people than ever before!
Polly's Family will be hosting their annual Polly's Day, a fun-filled day for family and friends, some have signed up to take part in the Isle of Wight Ultra Marathon, and we will be heading to local community events and much more!
Why not host your own Polly's Fund coffee morning, bake sale or fun run, the list is endless!
If you would like more information about hosting your own event, please contact our friendly fundraising team at UKSA by emailing: fundrasing@uksa.org.
Any donations large or small will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to benefiting the Isle of Wight's young people, allowing them to get out on the water and try something they might never have dreamed possible.
Thank you SO much for your generous support, we can't wait to see what adventures 2023 brings!
Thank you for visiting this page and thank you for any help you have been able to offer for this project. If you are able to make a contribution we would like the opportunity to email an end of summer round-up of how your donation has supported the children; to receive this update please do opt-in to receive updates from UKSA or contact us separately at fundraising@uksa.org
