Story

Join the Plunkett Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for vital support for rural community-owned businesses. Plunkett helps provide essential services to rural communities to help tackle issues of isolation, loneliness, employment, training and wellbeing, by bringing people together to save their local shop, pub, farm or woodland or other important buildings or services.

Every pound you raise will be helping Plunkett support more rural communities build businesses, that become the beating heart of any rural village, and retain essential services and facilities within remote areas.

Plunkett represents 800 community-owned businesses as well as a further 300 community groups in the process of setting up. As more and more communities face the loss of a vital service, the demand on Plunkett's support is greater than ever to help those communities to save much-needed local assets. Already in 2024, we've seen a 25% increase in requests for support, compared to this time last year.
