Story
Oliver Brown was born seven weeks early at Royal Albert Edward Infirmary weighing just 4lbs 4oz. Oliver spent his first two days in the Intensive Care Unit where he needed a CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machine to help him breathe, after which he was transferred to the High Dependency Unit. For a while he was also in an incubator as his temperature kept dropping and he was jaundiced.
For a total of three weeks, Oliver received excellent round-the-clock neo natal care at the hospital. Hes now growing up to be a healthy, happy little boy thanks to the incredible support he received as a newborn baby.
Olivers mum Louisa says: The nursing staff were absolutely brilliant. I couldnt praise the whole unit enough. Im diabetic and they even took care of me when I had a hypo one day. Thank you to all the staff and thank you to MedEquip4Kids for the equipment you have funded in Wigan over the years.
Equipment like this is so important! Your help with raising money is so amazing and allows MedEquip4KIDS to provide more equipment like this to other hospitals.
