Story
Abortion is safe, and has been legal in the U.S. for more than four decades. However, in recent years and during a global pandemic, an unprecedented number of extreme abortion bans are being enacted across the country, many of which dont include exceptions for rape or incest, could jail doctors simply for providing care (in one case for up to 99 years), and could allow the state to investigate miscarriages. And its not just abortion: we've seen measures to make it more difficult to access birth control, to dismantle the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program, to remove protections for survivors of sexual assault, and more. Politicians are trying to control our bodies and lives.
Our bodies are our own if they are not, we cannot be truly free or equal. That's why Planned Parenthood Great Plains is launching Bans off my Body in conjunction with PinkOut for Planned Parenthood Great Plains Votes - to tell the world that there will be no bans on anyone's body, not in the legislator and definitely not in our health centers.
Please join us in generating essential funds for patients of Planned Parenthood Great Plains, and consider celebrating your commitment to keeping Bans off our Bodies by purchasing a ticket to PinkOut - a virtual concert fundraiser benefiting the advocacy work of Planned Parenthood Great Plains Votes. During this new and uncertain world. your support has more impact on sexual and reproductive healthcare than ever before.
