Story
Sign up to participate in our third annual Pier 2 Peer charity event, raising funds for Wayfinderwoman to give vital help and support to women in our community.
The event is a 16 mile walk/run/cycle from Eastbourne to Hastings Piers, with an additional short route provided from Eastbourne pier to Sovereign Harbour, in order to be accessible to family groups with children/buggies/dogs etc, and to wheelchair or mobility scooter users. The short route is all along the prom and fully accessible, as well as being shorter. There is also the opportunity for regular route participants to stop at Cooden Beach. EVERYONE IS WELCOME! Bring a friend, family etc. We encourage groups to join and want to make it a fun, inclusive event!
Pier 2 Peer is not a race and participants are encouraged to walk, run, or cycle at their own pace. An early start on 5th August will help those walking and running to catch the low tide where it is needed along the shoreline to avoid the pebbles when not on the promenade. Anyone participating will receive a medal, regardless of which route you choose to participate in!
WayfinderWoman Trust have designed Pier 2 Peer 2023 to get people talking and moving, both important contributors to health and wellbeing, said Tracey Xerxes, Trustee and Hub volunteer Individuals, couples, families, company teams, and social groups are all welcome to join in the fun, improve their wellbeing, have a chat, support an award-winning local charity and lift their spirits!
