About Us

At Olympias Music Foundation (OMF), we are dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people through the power of music. 15 OMF children receive free weekly piano lessons from students at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) as part of the students’ teaching module. This invaluable collaboration not only enhances the children's musical education but also provides RNCM students with essential teaching experience.

The problem we face

Many of the pianos our children currently have access to at home are in poor condition, with missing keys and parts soldered together. These inadequate instruments hinder their ability to practice effectively and realise their full potential. With your help, we can provide them with the quality instruments they deserve. Learning to play on high-quality pianos is essential for young musicians, providing the resistance and responsiveness that enable students to develop correct technique and expressive control. As our students progress, having the right instruments will be crucial for their continued growth and success.

Working together on a solution

On seeing our need, the RNCM student teachers kindly committed to organising a piano recital on 22nd June at Emmanuel Church, Didsbury. This campaign seeks to build on their amazing efforts with the aim of raising even more money. Our goal is to raise enough to purchase new pianos for all our young people, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed.
