I’m raising funds to help my son access private physiotherapy, which could make a huge difference in his development and future.

Born at just 24 weeks, my son has Global Developmental Delay, which means he needs extra support to reach developmental milestones that many children achieve naturally. He also has pulmonary stenosis, chronic lung disease and is peg-fed as he is unable to eat and drink independently.

One of the biggest goals we are working towards is helping him develop the strength, balance and movement he needs to hopefully stand and, in time, walk. Private physiotherapy would give him additional specialist support and more regular sessions tailored specifically to his needs. Every session could help him build strength, improve his mobility and work towards those important milestones.

As a parent, I want to give my son every opportunity to develop his abilities and become as independent as possible. Unfortunately, the cost of private physiotherapy can quickly become difficult for me to fund.

Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to us and would go directly towards his physiotherapy and helping him work towards standing and walking. 7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.

If we raise insufficient funds, or surplus funds, then the funds will be used, if appropriate, to fund support for our child’s needs in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objects. If in those circumstances we are unable to use all or part of the funds for the benefit of our child in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objectives, then any funds that cannot be used will be transferred to be used for the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope.
