Story
The students at Petroc have built and will fly a plane! They have chosen the North Devon Hospice and Devon Air Ambulance as their charity partners. Every penny donated helps these important local charities at a time when they need it the most.
The project is funded by a loan of £50,000 from local volunteers who supervised the construction of the plane.
It took ten months to build and has now passed it government certification and testing.
Building a plane that passes government inspection standards is not easy!. Petroc students have shown they are capable of doing a great thing by working hard and following the strict standards of the aviation industry.
So, what have they built ..? A Skyranger, Swift 3. Reckoned to be the best microlight aircraft on the market. Ideal for leisure flying and touring and used by many flight training schools.
If you would like to show your support and encouragement, it will not only mean a great deal to the North Devon Hospice and Devon Air Ambulance it will also salute the students who have completed this incredible challenge!
