My running story started about eight years ago, fueled by a night of gin-fueled bravado with friends. One of them was running the Coventry Half Marathon for Valley House, and, well, I decided to join them. Little did I know, that drunken decision would ignite a passion that's still burning strong.’
Now, I'm taking on the ultimate challenge: the London Marathon! Why? It's the pinnacle, the only Major Marathon in the UK, and it's set to be the biggest one yet. For any runner, it's a dream.
Is running just a hobby? Not anymore! It's become a bit of an addiction, and let's be honest, my running gear collection is bordering on Imelda Marcos levels! 👟👟
But more importantly, I'm running for Valley House, a charity that's close to my heart. This will be my third time raising funds for them, following the Coventry Half Marathon and the Great North Run. I promised LJ that if I ever got into the London Marathon, I'd do it for Valley House. They do such vital work, and unlike the big charities, they rely on the generosity of people like you.
Valley House provides essential support to families escaping domestic abuse and mental health challenges. They offer a safe haven, practical assistance, and a chance to rebuild lives.
Please help me support Valley House by donating to my London Marathon campaign. Every pound makes a real difference.
Thank you for your support!
