Story
We find ourselves in unprecedented times and I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and well during this period of uncertainty.
For almost 70 years, Percy Hedley has been providing care, education and support for disabled people here in the North East. We have faced many challenges over this time, but this is by far our greatest. We are working hard to support the most vulnerable people during this time and many of our services remain open, thanks to our incredible and dedicated staff team.
In recent weeks we have seen almost all of our fundraising events and activities cancelled or postponed. This has been a huge financial blow to us and we expect to see an immediate shortfall in voluntary income of over £100,000, with this figure set to rise in coming months.
This is why I'm asking you if you can help us safeguard one of the region's most loved and valued charities and make a donation to our Covid-19 Appeal. With your support we can continue caring for disabled children, young people and adults now and in the future.
On behalf of myself, my colleagues and all of the disabled people and families we support across the North East, thank you.
