Story

The Covid-19 crisis is having a devastating impact on marginalised pastoral and agro-pastoral communities in the Horn of Africa. Many people have little or no savings and depended on daily earnings, which have vanished. Food distribution programmes aim to plug the gap, and NGOs are switching existing funding over to the crisis response. But many of the Pastoral and Environmental Network in the Horn of Africa (PENHA's) target communities in Somaliland are facing severe hardship and uncertainty. People are helping each other, as they always have done, but social safety nets are under severe strain.

PENHA needs your urgent help to mobilise local networks to:

- Deliver immediate support to the most affected and vulnerable;

- Create awareness and understanding of Covid-19 in the communities ;

- Make responses more efficient and effective by involving communities, ensuring that responses are fully informed by local knowledge about the specific conditions in different localities ;

- Develop Covid-aware strategies that enable local enterprises to operate, working with international, national and local agencies.

Codsiga PENHA Somaliland ee Dhibaatooyinka COVID-19

Dhibaatada Covid-19 waxay curyaamisay dhaqdhaqaaqyo badan, dhinac bulsho iyo mid dhaqaaleba gudaha Somaliland.

PENHA waxay raadineysaa taageeradaada deg-degga ah si dhibaatadan looga caawiyo bulshooyinka xoolo-dhaqatada ah, iyadoo ay uga sii dartay duulaanka ba'an ee Ayaxa (Locust), kaasoo baabi'iyay gabi ahaan dalagii beeraha.

Sheekada

Dhibaatada COVID-19 waxay saameyn ba'an ku reebtay bulshooyinka xoolo-dhaqatada iyo beeralayda Geeska Afrika. Dad badan ayan haysan kayd-dhaqaale ama aan haysanba, waxayna ku tiirsan yihiin dakhliga maalinlaha ah, kaasoo hadda meesha ka baxay.

Barnaamijyada cunto qaybinta ayaa ujeedadeedu tahay in lagu buuxiso gol-daloolada, iyadoo ay hayadaha aan dawliga ahayni (NGOs) u beddelayaan maal-galintoodi lacageed mid ay wax uga qabayaan dhibaatada COVID-19. Inkastoo in badan oo ka mid ah bulshooyinka ay abaarayso Shabakadda Xoolo-dhaqatada iyo Deegaanka ee Geeska Afrika (PENHA) oo ku nool Somaliland wajahayaan dhibaato aad u daran iyo kalsooni darro. Bulshadu iyagaa iscaawiya, sida caadada ahaydba waligood, hase ahaatee shabaqa-badbaadada bulshada ayaa cidhiidhi daran ku jira.

PENHA waxay u baahan tahay caawimaadaada degdega ah si loo abaabulo shabakadaha maxalliga ah sida:

U fidinta taageero deg-deg ah kuwa ugu waxyeellada badan iyo kuwa nugul;

Abuurka wacyiga-galinta iyo fahamka Covid-19 ee bulshada dhexdeeda;

Inay caawimadu noqoto mid hufan oo wax ku ool ah oo lugna leh bulshada, iyadoo la hubinayo in caawimadu si buuxda loogu wargaliyo aqoonta maxalliga ah ee ku saabsan shuruudaha gaarka ah ee deegaannada kala duwan;

Horumarinta istiraatiijiyad wadaaga oo ku saabsan wacyi-galinta COVID 19, taasoo usaamaxeysa shirkadaha maxalliga ah inay shaqeeyaan, iyagoo la shaqeynaya hay'adaha caalamiga, kuwa qaranka iyo kuwa maxalliga ah.
