Welcome to the #TeamPCR London Marathon 2022 campaign page!
This year promises to be our biggest and best so far, with all our fundraising going towards life-changing research which aims to create a world where people are free from the impact of prostate cancer. We have our sights set on a record-breaking fundraising effort this year so that we can fund more much needed research.
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed male cancer in the UK, yet current treatments are limited and can be harmful particularly for the late stages. Your fundraising will support innovative scientists with bold ideas working collaboratively to create more effective and less harmful treatments, putting patient voice at the heart of their decisions making a real difference to the lives of people affected.
Running with #TeamPCR is an experience like no other and we are inspired by our runner's stories.
I wanted to raise money for PCR to help the organisation fund further research to beat this awful disease that destroys families. PCR have been amazing, so supporting and helpful throughout my marathon journey. The after marathon party they hosted was amazing and much appreciated. (Julia)
I lost my dad last October to this terrible disease. Nobody deserves to go through what he did. I have five family members who have been diagnosed as well, 3 have been told its terminal. This was my chance to support the amazing research taking place that will help others fight and overcome Prostate Cancer. (Pete)
