Story

When we lost our beautiful purpose-built home in 2022 we thought we would have to give up rescue. But with the support of our incredible overseas partners, we were able to take on a lease for a large villa, then to adapt it for animals, and it has become a safe haven for our current residents; 84 cats and 22 dogs (it's a large villa!). But we are at another crisis point. In our old shelter we didn't pay rent, now we have to find rent on top of the huge amounts we need for food, staff, utilities and vet bills. Through this campaign we have so far raised enough money to cover just 6 weeks' rent (thank you so, so much to everyone that has donated). But this wipes out any chance of paying any of our vet bills or sending animals out so we can make room for more - we are completely broke.

We are still faced with the challenge of finding the rest of the rent. Every penny we have apart from essential spending is being funnelled into the rent. We are living under the constant daily stress of not knowing if we can get our vet checks done, as we syphon away money accrued to pay bills, wages etc. We are currently blocked at the vet and are having to pay case-by-case with money donated from our volunteer base. There are animals waiting for routine treatment such as dentals, and others we desperately need to neuter but cannot.

On top of this pressure is the absolute desperate need for us to rescue a further 50 plus cats from a hoarder. He started with 100 cats... we already took 45 and a lot died due to the horrific conditions they are in, but now he has continued to breed and we are now faced with many more. Nobody else in Qatar is able to help, they are currently living with no power, no water supply and we need to move them but we cannot with no resources. They all need medical attention, food, we need space for them so need to continue sending animals out for adoption (also part or fully funded by us). We cannot turn our backs on that situation and it is so hot now for them. WE NEED URGENT HELP.

Please, give whatever you can, however small, and share this campaign so we can continue with our work and get all these animals to safety.

Thank you so much.

Jack was in a busy area where passerby's saw him for a week until someone notified us. He was found starving and in agony but it took days before someone who cared stepped up.

Jerry, found in a busy place where dozens of people walked past him, but took days before someone stepped up and cared. Found a safe sanctuary with us and received critical treatment.

Joey, found riddled with bullets on the brink of death. Rescued, recuperated and rehomed.

Baloo, shot at on the streets behind Villaggio and rushed to the vet for emergency care. He has since made a full recovery and found a doting family.

Luis, rescued from a horrific hoarding situation in Doha with his poor body fighting terrible diseases. There was nowhere else he could stay.

Found abused and beyond petrified, little Bodkin, would have died without our intervention.

Scarboy, found living as part of our colony with his beautiful face and body filled with battle scars of survival. Now lives safe and happy in Germany.

Athena, rescued as an orphaned puppy whos mother was shot next to her. She is now able to live a life without the fear her mother had.

Stella was found broken and bruised after a car intentionally ran into her.

We also care for over 100 dogs and cat on the street in colonies.

Milady was shot at close range and lost her eye.

Alba had to be darted as she is from a community site that fears humans. Thankfully she is now spayed so will have no more unwanted puppies.

A look at one of the community sites.

Senga was also shot but thankfully recovered, but left us with a huge vet billl.
