Trees are essential to our health and well-being. If Philadelphia increased its tree canopy to cover 30% of its streets, it could prevent hundreds of premature deaths each year, according to a groundbreaking scientific study.

Each spring and fall, PHS works with volunteers in more than 180 active Tree Tenders groups across the region to plant trees where they are most needed.
