Visit the charity's profileThe University of Sheffield needs your help to carry on their important research into Parkinson's. Every day, they are working to find a cure for this devastating disease.
Two more people are diagnosed every hour, the same as 18,000 people every year. Affecting 145,000 people in the UK alone in 2020, new treatments are needed to stop Parkinson's in its tracks.
With clinicians and scientists working together at Sheffield, our unique bench-to-bedside approach is a beacon of medical research best practice.
Together with your support, we can make a real difference. Our research will result in a huge leap forward towards personalised treatments for Parkinson's:
· Finding personalised treatments for patients to slow or even stop how quickly the disease takes hold
· Speeding up the development of new treatments
· Improving the effectiveness and outcomes of clinical trials
The University of Sheffield is a world-leader in neurological research. Together we can fight this devastating disease.
