While many of us have been able to stay home and practice social distancing, victims of domestic violence are facing unique challenges while confronting the harsh realities of being trapped at home and isolated with their abusers.

Over the past 30 days Samaritan House has seen a staggering 86% increase in demand for our emergency shelter and housing programs. We are managing our hotline just as we were before the pandemic to ensure no call for help goes unanswered. With a few dedicated core staff staying at the office we are ensuring that anyone who comes to our office for help and needs immediate help will receive it. We are still here for the community. We have not closed our doors.
