Story

Over 120 watery miles stretch from Sunset Beach to the North Carolina Coastal Federations future Center for Coastal Protection and Restoration in Carteret County. The intrepid crew from the Wrightsville Beach Outrigger Canoe Club plans to paddle all of them in 2022 to raise awareness for the Federation's efforts protecting and restoring the N.C. coast. This grand tour is part of the Club's three-year We The Water: Paddling for a Purpose.

You're invited to add your miles and your dollars to the journey. Set a goal for yourself- miles to paddle or dollars to raise (or both!). Then invite your friends and family to join you. You can participate from anywhere- whether you paddle or not. You and your friends can virtually log your paddling trips, and anyone can donate through your page. We can't wait to see our paddling community come together for this great cause- from local NC paddlers to Hawaii, the Great Lakes, inland rivers, and beyond!
