Paddle for the Sound celebrates the rivers, lakes, ocean, and all greenspaces that make the Long Island Sound region truly spectacular. This friendly kayak, SUP, and canoe competition and fundraiser helps to protect our region and build a world where everyone feels welcome and has access to enjoy this beautiful estuary.

2. Click the "Fundraise" button above to start your fundraising page. Set a goal, and share it with your family and friends!

3. Between Friday, July 12, and Sunday, July 21, track your paddling distance on a kayak, SUP, or canoe for a chance to win prize packages!

All funds raised support our efforts in advocating for renewable energy to combat climate change, monitoring water quality to identify contamination sources, building coalitions to protect greenspaces, fighting for environmental justice in affected communities, implementing nature-based solutions for flooding, pollution, and habitat loss, and holding polluters accountable while supporting climate-conscious policies.

Prize Categories

• First Place total distance paddled with a kayak, paddleboard, or canoe, over the duration of the event.

• Second Place total distance paddled with a kayak, paddleboard, or canoe, over the duration of the event.

• Third Place total distance paddled with a kayak, paddleboard, or canoe, over the duration of the event.
