Story
Sadly the Secret Gardens of Oxton event will not be able to go ahead for the second year running due to the continuing pandemic.
BUT all is not lost! We are working on another Virtual Gardens Event similar to 2021.
This years Virtual Secret Gardens of Oxton will take play on Sunday, May 9 between 10am and 4pm.
Visitors will be able to access the event via Facebook by searching for https://www.facebook.com/oxtonsecretgardens in your internet browser. You dont need to be a member of Facebook to access the page.
The page will be updated throughout the day with videos and pictures of gardens in Oxtons conservation area as well as musical performances by local entertainers. The page will remain open for a further 6 weeks for viewing and donations.
The event is free to view but you can make a donation via JUST GIVING. Money raised from voluntary donations and business sponsorship will be shared between the Oxton Society and Friends of the Arno.
Last years virtual event was a huge success, attracting more than 2,500 visitors on the day and raising more than £3,000 for Wirral Foodbank.
The event will be supporting the Foodbank again by asking for food donations in various locations around the village over the Virtual Gardens weekend, so please think about adding an extra tin to your weekly shop for the collection.
