Owen, 1, 2, 3... is a Forever Loved Fund at The Bodie Hodges Foundation, raising funds to support families bereaved of a child.
Story
This fund has been set up in memory of Owen Bennett who died on 18th June 2022.
Owen was a funny and gentle soul who always looked after people that were unhappy or sad. He was always there to brighten their day and make them feel better. He was the class clown, who loved his family and friends, and was always supportive of everyone. He made everybody laugh!
It’s amazing that the Bodie Hodges Foundation exists, to help other families, and we are blown away that a bereaved family has set up such an amazing service like this to help others.
The Bodie Hodges Foundation is so helpful, caring and understanding of families going through the death of a child. The charity have been so supportive of us all as a family, they have been there for us through the worst moments. They have been absolutely brilliant, and as a family we want to support and fundraise for other families that are in need of bereavement support.
Owen’s sister May has found support, strength and understanding through the Together Project, a youth group aimed at supporting bereaved siblings, and we have decided as a family to raise money to further support the Together Project.
We will also raise money for the bereavement support and counselling offered for bereaved parents and siblings, that have been so supportive of us.
