The University of Ottawa Heart Institute has flourished into one of Canada's most distinguished heart health centres ranking in the top five nationally. It is known for its unparalleled care to its patients, a world-renowned top 3% research Institute brings science from bench to bedside, and it remains the country's main influence in preventing heart disease. The Institute offers Canada's largest comprehensive cardiac prevention and rehabilitation program, receiving over 241,000 patient visits annually.

Residing at the Institute, you will find the Canadian Women's Heart Health Centre, the first of its kind in Canada, dedicated to researching women's cardiovascular health. Also on site is a world-class research facility, the Centre for Valvular Heart Disease, the Canadian Centre for Rare Cardiac Conditions, and the trail-blazing UOHI Data Science Centre. The Institute continues to harness the latest advancements in machine learning and technology while finding tomorrow's treatments.
