At the Scottish Wildlife Trust, we deliver compelling advocacy, practical conservation and inspiring engagement activities, as well as managing over 100 wildlife reserves. We champion Scotland's wildlife in pursuit of our vision of healthy, resilient ecosystems across the country's land and seas.

Story

The Scottish Wildlife Trust's award-winning snorkel trails showcase the diversity of Scotland's seas and engage people with the vast array of wildlife they support. From small sea squirts, sponges and anemones right up to dolphins, whales and harmless basking sharks, Scotland's waters are home to an amazing diversity of species.

Our trails also promote sustainable tourism and support fantastic community projects around the country, as well as highlighting the physical and mental wellbeing benefits that snorkelling can bring.

By introducing a new snorkel trail to Orkney, we can connect even more people with Scotland's marine life and the fascinating history of Orkney's waters.

But creating a new trail comes with a cost. Before we can encourage people to explore Orkney's coasts, our team must first create a guide to help snorkelers navigate the island's waters safely and responsibly and introduce them to the wildlife that they may encounter. By donating to our campaign, you can directly support the creation of this important guide.

Will you help us cover the costs of creating a new snorkel trail in Orkney and bring people closer to Scotland's unique marine wildlife?
