Grab courage and aim high!

Every year approximately 100,000 people will have a stroke in the UK and a quarter of these will happen to people of working age or younger and it is the single biggest cause of disability. Different Strokes is the only charity dedicated to younger stroke survivors to provide active peer support through information, advice and rehabilitation services.

Our previous abseils have been emotional days where most of the participants are stroke survivors, all with varying degrees of mobility. It's a day when obstacles to taking part are removed, fears are overcome and feelings of pride and achievement are high.

Yes its scary, we wont lie! but you are in safe hands with the Wire & Sky Team who are brilliant at assisting physically and emotionally.

So grab that courage and aim high !

We are confident that this event will take place. However, if we have to reschedule or cancel due to Covid restrictions nearer the time we would like to reassure donors that any funds raised will still be used to support younger stroke survivors.
